Study in Uzbekistan

There are more than 60 higher educational institutions in the Uzbekistan, including seven branches of foreign universities.

As in other countries, in Uzbekistan, higher education involves the preparation of qualified specialists for various spheres of public life and sectors of the economy.

The educational process systematizes the knowledge and acquired skills, orienting students towards solving theoretical and practical problems in the vector of the chosen specialization with the creative use of the achievements of modern scientific thought and technology.

The university system includes:
  • Higher educational institutions that implement academic and professional programs according to state standards, regardless of departmental subordination and form of ownership.
  • Scientific and pedagogical institutions carrying out research work necessary for the development of universities.
  • Public administration bodies of education, enterprises and institutions subordinate to them.
The education system of Uzbekistan provides for two stages of certification:
  1. Bachelor’s degree – basic higher education, which provides basic skills and sufficient knowledge in different areas. The duration of training is at least 4 years. Upon completion of the program, the state commission awards the graduates with the qualification “bachelor” according to the profile of training and issues a diploma of the established sample.
  2. Master’s degree is a higher education, involving the development of applied and fundamental theoretical knowledge in the chosen specialty. The term of study is at least 2 years. Competitive bachelors have access to master’s degree studies. Upon graduation, graduates receive a diploma and a master’s degree in a specific specialty.

There are three types of higher education organizations in Uzbekistan:

  1. university – offers programs of higher education or postgraduate training in the widest range of specialties;
  2. Academy – is engaged in the implementation of pedagogical programs of higher and post institutional education in certain scientific fields and areas;
  3. Institute – works in the field of implementation of curricula of higher education and postgraduate training in certain areas and levels within the boundaries of a particular branch of knowledge.

The people of Uzbekistan are incredibly hospitable and will always treat you sincerely cordially. The hospitality of an international study destination can make or break your experience, and Uzbekistan and its people shine in this area.

The level of education in Uzbekistan conforms to world standards, but at the same time, education in this country is much cheaper than, for example, in Europe.

However, just because it is not the most common spot for studying abroad does not mean it is not an admirable one.
