SSMU and Samarkand Medical Institute signed an agreement on cooperation
The meeting of Razumovsky SsMU rector Andrey Eremin and Samarkand State Medical Institute rector Jasur Rizaev took place on March 2 as part of the official tour of the Saratov area delegation to Uzbekistan. The parties discussed various aspects of cooperation between the two universities, noting that they are linked by strong business and friendly relations in the field of education and science.
Further cooperation between educational institutions will be developed with the goal of adopting a program of academic mobility for teachers and students, as well as cooperative research initiatives in the fields of fundamental and clinical medicine.
As a consequence of the meeting, an agreement was made on a network form of educational contact between the two universities, as well as the rules for the yearly contest of potential cooperative research projects.
The network form of engagement entails educational institutions working together to develop, approve, and implement educational programs based on the “Double Degree” philosophy. Networking, as an organizational phenomena, has a lot of promise, according to university rectors, and realizing that potential will help improve the efficiency of the educational process.
The goal of the competition of joint projects of promising scientific research, whose regulations were signed by the rectors of Saratov and Samarkand medical universities, is to support initiative scientific projects of SsMU and SmMI scientists in the field of fundamental principles of medicine and healthcare.
