Results of the competition for the “SamMI Rector’s Cup” are summed up

Samarkand State Medical Institute, under the motto “Healthy Life – the Foundation of Greatness,” held sports tournaments “Rector’s Cup” in mini-football from May 27 to June 5 in order to put the President’s five initiatives into practice, particularly in the direction of physical training of young people and creating the necessary conditions for them to demonstrate their abilities in sport.In total, 12 academic staff teams and 32 student teams from the Institute’s faculties competed in the competition.

As a consequence of fierce competition among students, the team of medical faculty (5th year) took first place, followed by the team of dentistry faculty (3rd year) and the team of medical faculty (3rd year) (2nd year).

The team from the Faculty of Medicine took first place among the academic staff teams, followed by the team from the Faculty of Medical Pedagogy in second place, and the team from the Academic Lyceum of the Institute in third place.

At the solemn awards ceremony, all of the winners received certificates and presents, and the participants expressed their gratitude to Rector Prof. J.A. Rizaev for organizing athletic events at the Institute on a regular basis.
