Youth Festival Starts in Samarkand

The festival “Youth of New Uzbekistan, Let’s Unite!” will be held in the Samarkand region from June 11 to 13. Sports contests by industry, motivating talks with renowned entrepreneurs, and intellectual activities are anticipated to take place throughout the course of the three days. Military-patriotic projects are also included in the program.

Detailed information about preparations for the youth festival was presented at a press conference with the participation of representatives of the regional and city khokimiyats, employees of the regional department of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications, journalists and bloggers.

Within the youth festival 103 cultural, educational, sporting events and competitions in various directions will be held in the region. On the first day 13 events and projects will be held in Samarkand, and 30 events and projects are planned in districts and cities. Similarly, cultural events will be staggered throughout the remaining days.

A million young people are expected to attend the three-day regional festival. The festival’s major purpose is to draw children from families who are part of the Youth Notebook, Women’s Notebook, or Iron Notebook, as well as unemployed youth and young people in need of social protection.

This festival should be remembered by the region’s youth for the rest of their lives, and every effort is being made to ensure that this happens. The festival’s primary projects will take place in places such the Korasuv massif, the Nurafshon Palace of Arts, Registan Square, and tourism sites.
